90 students discovered the real meaning of BMW at Wednesday's Professional Etiquette Dinner! Can you figure it out?

Students from all years enjoyed a three course meal and an interactive session with Michelle Pollard Patrick a certified Protocol Officer on Wednesday. Michele is the founder of National Protocol, Ltd, a multilevel training organization based in Washington, D.C. Included in her list of private clients are some of Washington's most prominent figures. This year, the Hofstra Women’s Basketball and Lacrosse Teams joined us as well as an entire International Business class. Students of all majors learned everything from chopstick use, to handshakes, to the difference between American and Continental dining styles.

One student emailed The Career Center after the event and wrote, “I'm a junior Speech Communications major, and I wanted to send a note of thanks for providing us students with an excellent opportunity tonight to meet new people and to learn and refine our professional communication and formal dinner table skills by providing us with the Professional Etiquette dinner. It was a real treat to be in attendance - I am so fortunate to be learning these tips and tricks as a junior so that I may use them earlier than many other students might get the chance to in the early development stages of their careers.”

We look forward to having you join us next year!
