Volunteer at The Career Center
The Career Center is looking for volunteers to help out during our "quick question" hours. This is a great opportunity for those looking to: 
  • Develop counseling and communication skills by working one-on-one with students and alumni
  • Build thier resume
  • Learn current resume and cover letter writing techniques 
This position is open to graduate students only. You must be able to commit to at least one quick question hour session per week. 

Quick Question Hours: Monday-Thursday from 2-4 and Fridays from 11-1

Publishing Panel Event
Off-Campus Education, the English Department, and the HCLAS Dean’s Office are sponsoring the Publishing Panel Event. Panelists will be from a variety of publishing disciplines. This event is ideal for English & Publishing Majors. Refreshments will be served.

Wednesday, March 6 during Common Hour, Breslin Hall, Room 105

Prepare for a Career Fair
Learn the best way to network at a career fair. What will you say to an employer? How do you know which employers to visit? What should you wear. We will cover all of this and more! 

This is a great opportunity for any student planning to attend the Internship Fair on March 13th.

Media and Design Career Seminar: Demystification of the Real World
Hofstra's School of Communication, Department of Radio, Television, Film, Department of Fine Arts and Art History (Design Concentration), Hofstra Association of Graphic Arts, and the Hofstra Career Center present Demystifying Media & Design Careers symposium. This mini-symposium explores the synergies and constradications inherent in 21st century careers in Media and Design.

The Spring Internship fair brings a diverse group of employers to Hofstra, representing a wide variety of career fields, seeking candidates to fill internship positions.

Professional Etiquette Dinner
Join us for a unique dining event and interactive seminar facilitated by a certified business etiquette expert. Learn how to conduct yourself on interviews and meetings in a dining atmosphere, and proper networking etiquette.
