Increase Your Degree Value

There is a crisp chill in the air, you hear holiday music in the background but for some of us this December marks a milestone in our life.  Aside from all the holiday festivities, pomp and circumstance is in our purview.  This week, hundreds of Hofstra students will receive the ultimate holiday gift, a diploma.  It’s been 2-6 long years of hard work and dedication, but now is your time to shine like the star on the pinnacle of the Christmas tree or like the candles on the menorah.

You have worked hard hours, tirelessly, to obtain this important distinction. You know you want the honor of a diploma to give you back every penny you spent on it.  College costs are rising, student debt is mounting, and most Americans say college fails to deliver good value for the money. Yet, most college students do not realize how the "value” of their degree is obtained.

This week as you pick up your Cap and Gown from the Student Center and the friendly Career Center staff member asks you to fill out a survey, say YES!  College rankings and data that is reported to major ranking publications actually comes directly from you, the students taking this survey. So, even though it might take a couple more minutes on line, believe me it’s worth it.

After all this data is collected, sorted, debriefed, categorized and demystified it is submitted to increase the value of not only your degree, but of those who came before and follow in your footsteps.

Help leave a legacy….make your mark.…do the survey…..get the value….GO PRIDE!
Happy Graduation!
