You Must Follow Up

Yesterday was our fall career fair and those of you who attended looked so professional and the employers were so impressed with your preparedness!  But, the work on your part is not over! 

Many times, these recruiters receive hundreds of resumes at the job fair.  In order to stand out, you must follow up! 

Did the recruiter give you their business card? 

·      Email them today

·      Thank them for meeting with you

·      Try and jog their memory with something you discussed with them

·      Repeat what position you are interested in

·      Attach your resume  - yes, again!

Did they tell you to apply on line?

·      Apply ASAP!

·      Let the recruiter know that you applied online and reiterate your interest in the position

·      Try and jog their memory with something you discussed with them

·      Attach your resume  - yes, again!

Good luck and “work” the connections you made yesterday!
