Events for the Week of 10/28/13

The Communication Fair is WEDNESDAY!
Attend this Career Fair geared specifically towards full-time, part-time, and internship opportunities for students of ALL majors who are interested in the Communication Industry. We have 31 registered in-person employers as well as 3 virtual companies who will have laptops available for you to apply to positions right at the fair! Review all employers on Pride-CMS. Dress professionally, and bring copies of your resume!

Goldman Sachs Inside Look
Goldman Sachs invites Hofstra students of all majors to participate in a unique summer internship recruiting program: GS Inside Look. Students can attend virtual information sessions on the various divisions at Goldman Sachs, and then apply for internship positions! Don’t miss out on this great opportunity!

Virtual information sessions run from October 15 through November 6. For dates and times of each session, click here.

You can apply online for up to three (3) divisions and locations by clicking here before November 18 at 11:59pm.

Lean In
Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, has written her book Lean In to help female leaders close the gender gap and change the trajectory for women in leadership positions around the world. Fall Blood Drive
Did you know that just one pint of blood can help save up to three lives? Please consider making a donation … people can’t live without it! If you cannot donate blood but would still like to help, you can register in the Bone Marrow Donor registry at the Drive.

Religion and Asian Studies Internship Mixer- Students who are majoring in Religion and Asian Studies are invited to attend this session to learn about valuable internship opportunities in the field. Refreshments will be served.

Marketing Edge
The Marketing EDGE Student Career Forums offer students an overview of the dynamic marketing industry, and sound, practical advice on launching a career in this field.  The rapid growth of digital marketing has led to a shortage of qualified talent, and career opportunities are vast!   Students will have a chance to build their professional network, and get tips from career specialists about how to approach their resume, job search, interviewing, and more.  To register or for more information, click here.

IRTS Summer Fellowship Program

Students selected for this highly competitive, expense-paid program in New York City learn about opportunities throughout the media industry, in addition to interning at a specific company where skills are matched to a corresponding area of our business. Accomplished junior, senior, and graduate students from all majors (including math, liberal arts, computer science, business, marketing, communications, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
