How many of you know what your passion is?
What interests you?
When you go online or visit a bookstore, what do you find
yourself reading about? What activities do you do in your free time?
What do you like learning about?
What are your strongest abilities?
What skills would you like to develop?
What do you value in work?
What would make you happy?
All of these questions are key pieces for you to consider
when figuring out your major and what you may want to do after graduation. In the “career services world” these
questions are part of “career assessments” and this is something we provide at
The Career Center!
All you have to do is
call us for an appointment to do an assessment.
We provide several including the Strong Interest Inventory, the Career
Decision Making System, the Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator and the
Skill Scan.
Additionally, you can do a
basic career assessment on your own through the Pride-Career Management
System. Log on to Pride-CMS, under MyApps
on the Portal. Click on Resources, and then Career Finder. Good luck!
