What's Your Story?

Dear Students, 

There may come a time when you will be asked to write a personal statement about yourself. I often times find that students write what they "think" I/we want to hear. I am here to tell you DO NOT do that. Submit an essay that tells a story about you. Think of it in terms of writing your own eulogy. Only your story can best be told by you. If you find you are struggling about what to write, ask three friends "what should people know about me?" This will start to give you ideas on what you should write. Be yourself, tell a story and step outside the box. You are unique and you need to show what makes you stand out!
