Get an Edge on Your Job Hunt!

Hello Hofstra students! First, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Kaitlyn Riley and I am the new Graduate Assistant at the Career Center! I am so excited for this opportunity and am looking forward to meeting many of you during The Career Center’s quick question hours! Speaking of new beginnings,  I don’t know about any of you, but I often find myself looking forward to the start of a new school year.  Not only does September bring the chance to start fresh academically, but also to explore new challenges and opportunities. You may be thinking, “WHY would I add more to my plate?” Well, the answer is simple: to build your resume.  In today’s competitive job market, simply completing a college degree will no longer set you apart from the thousands of other college graduates entering the job market. That being said,  it is extremely important to be a well rounded individual and build your resume as much as possible during your college years to make yourself stand out to prospective employers.
