Nothing to put on your resume?

If you have no experience on your resume (which I find hard to believe, because we can always pull something out from your experiences)  you can now have the opportunity to take advantage of 1 - giving back to your community, 2 - making a difference and 3 - getting some experience on your resume.

We have had a rough couple of weeks here on the east coast.  And if you were tragically hit by the hurricane, our hearts go out to you.  It is so tough, but within time, we will all rebuild and rise from this.

Since the weekend is almost here, you might be thinking of spending your time wisely.  I was fortunate enough to have gas in my car last weekend to make a trip to the Rockaways.  A friend of mine had lost everything unfortunately but fortunately he and his family are safe.

I can not tell you how much help these people need and of course Rockaway Beach is not the only area that needs your help.

It can be overwhelming to find out where you can help, but here are some sites and facebook groups/pages that you can get up to date information about the affected areas and how you can help!

And once you're done volunteering, add that to your resume! Not sure how? Come to our quick questions for a resume critique - Monday-Thursday 2-4pm and Fridays 11am-1pm.
