How to Work a Job Fair
With the fall job fairs coming up, it's important to know the best way to work a job fair in order to make a great impression on a recruiter and get that job or internship you want (or didn't know that you wanted!) Steve Houghton from Fastenal will co-present this workshop and give his perceptive as a manager with a great deal of experience meeting students at job fairs. This informational session is open to undergraduate students only.

Senior Seminars: From Backpack to Briefcase
Starting to think about life after college?  Getting a job?  Negotiating salary?  Finding an apartment?  Learning to cook? Managing a budget and debt?  Senior Seminars are for you!  Senior Seminars are monthly workshops that will help you transition from college to “real life.”  There are approximately 8 sessions offered throughout the year during which facilitators will touch upon these topics and more!  Our goal is to make sure you are as prepared as possible for life after Hofstra!  Come to as many sessions as you can and each time your name will be entered for the chance to win Hofstra Senior Week tickets, a Hofstra diploma frame, or other great prizes!

Student/CPA Networking Night
Are you ready to begin your career in Accounting? Join Hofstra University Accounting Professors and Career Center Staff at the New York State Society of CPA’s Student/CPA Networking Night. You will be able to meet employer representatives and alumni from CPA firms, discover career opportunities in accounting, sharpen your networking and interviewing skills, meet CPA review course representatives, circulate your resume among prospective employers and alumni, and meet students from other university accounting programs. Dinner will be served. Dress professionally, and bring copies of your resume!
